Early Life and Career
Patrick Glöckner was born in Berlin, Germany, and began his career with local side Berliner FC Dynamo. He then joined Hansa Rostock in 2008, and made his debut for the team in the 2009–10 season. He quickly established himself as a first-team regular, and became a key member of the side.
Rise to Prominence
In the 2011–12 season, Glöckner helped Hansa Rostock to win the 3. Liga title, and earned a move to Bundesliga side FC Augsburg. He made 11 appearances in the top flight, before returning to Hansa Rostock in 2013. Since then, he has been a mainstay in the side, and was even named as the team's captain in 2016.
International Career
Glöckner has represented Germany at the U19, U20 and U21 level. He was part of the German U21 team that won the European Championship in 2009. He was also called up to the senior team for a friendly against France in November 2017, but did not make an appearance.
